Sak Backtile Bond

Sak Backtile Bond

SAK BACK TILE BOND is a professional-grade, high-viscosity liquid bonding agent engineered to prevent tile debonding and hollow sounds. Featuring advanced interlocking bond technology, it is applied directly to the back of large-format tiles, vitreous stones, and porcelain slabs before installation with thin-set adhesives. It acts as a powerful structural bridge that dramatically enhances adhesion, absorbing shear stresses caused by thermal movement and substrate deflection.

application process

Step 1: Surface Preparation

  • Ensure the back of the tile or stone slab is completely clean and clear of loose dust, transit powders, oils, and waxes.
  • Wipe the rear tile profiling with a damp cloth if necessary and allow it to dry fully before applying the primer.
  • Place the tile face down securely on a clean, scratch-free padded work bench or flat installation rack.
  • Ensure the ambient application temperature conforms to standard site installation guidelines before beginning.

Step 2: Application

  • Stir the single-component liquid bonding primer thoroughly in the container to achieve a uniform, smooth consistency.
  • Apply a thin, continuous, uniform coat onto the back of the tile using a high-density paint roller or brush.
  • Ensure complete edge-to-edge coverage across the rear face, leaving no exposed patches or pooling spots.
  • Allow the coated primer layer to dry or become tacky as per technical guidance before applying adhesive.

Step 3: Finishing / Curing

  • Apply the standard polymer-modified thin-set mortar or adhesive onto the tacky substrate using a notched trowel.
  • Place and beat the tile firmly into position on the target wall or floor surface to ensure full adhesive transfer.
  • Check layout alignments and clean any accidental spills from the decorative tile face using fresh potable water immediately.
  • Maintain regular curing and joint grouting timelines in strict accordance with the primary tile adhesive specifications.

Surface Preparation

Apply only on properly prepared and clean tile rear profiles. Follow recommended surface preparation and application practices to achieve optimum durability and a flawless finish.
